Best Western Phuket There's nothing quite like the first day of winter to make you think of a tropical holiday. When the weather turns cool I like to day dream of quiet days sipping shantis on the beach, afternoon naps and peaceful surroundings And then I wake up and remember that with two little kids, I'll have to stick to dreaming for a while longer.

Thanks to Zuji and the Best Western, you can escape to Phuket from Sydney for $1354.00 per person. Holiday in Phuket for 8 nights for the price of 4 nights, well well known for its relaxed atmosphere, idyllic, sweeping beaches, fascinating culture and delicious local cuisine.

Disney Pixar Cars: Radiator Springs McQueen

Disney Pixar Cars: Steve McQueen My son has loved cars from an early age and this weekend he hit the mother load. Thanks to his grandmother from Canada he is now the proud owner of 11 of the 22 Disney Pixar Die Cast Cars.

While I appreciate the first 11 will keep him occupied for the next month, I know it won't be long until he starts asking for the rest of the collection. At $10 per car at Woollies the collection will be worth a few dollars once completed.

Fortunately, the good folks over at Pee Dee Toys have them on for $8.99 each. At that price you might as well just collect them all.

Brother Multi-Function Centre Printer - MFC-665CW

Brother Multi-Function Centre Printer With 9 in 1 features, you'd wonder if it was just too good to be true. This multi function centre claims to combine 9 other machines into one small package.

The Brother MFC-665CW - 9 in 1 Flatbed Digital Multi-Function Centre is a Colour Inkjet Printer, Colour Fax, Flatbed Digital Copier, Flatbed Colour Scanner, PhotoCapture Centre, PC-Fax, Speaker Phone, Telephone Handset, and Answering Machine.

As the proud owner of this very machine, I'd have to say Brother almost got it right. The reason though my machine can't do it all has more to do Microsoft than the printer (I mean scanner, fax machine, and...).

Starting at $267.00 (I paid $350 offline), the Brother MFC-665CW is a very good product and well worth the dollars.

Jungle Foam Floor Puzzle

Jungle Foam Floor Puzzle - Early Learnging Center As a parent with an active soon to be 3 year old and a 1 year old daughter, I occasionally come across toys that instantly make me think of my children (radio control cars do it all the time).

The Jungle Foam Floor Puzzle is just one of these toys. I first saw it at a Kid Central store in Belrose and instantly thought of my son looking at me with his sad little eyes and asking where does it go daddy. While I was able to walk out of the store without making the purchase I did look online to see if it was available so I could at least show my wife.

With his birthday quickly approaching I've decided to take the plunge (partly because I haven't been able to find a cheaper or puzzle with cars) and purchase it from kidscentral.com.au for $40.00.

Best of all, if my kids do like, it will make a great play mate in on their rooms.

Blackberry Pearl 8100

Blackberry Pearl 8100 While I've been a fan of technology for most of my life I've always been fairly conservative, especially when it came time to dishing out the big bucks for a new toy. I cannot recall ever wanting a new toy without waiting months or years before finally taking the plunge. Until, I saw the Blackberry Pearl 8100 at a Vodafone shop.

I knew from the moment I saw one, I had to bring one home. It truly is the first mobile device that brings email and phone functionality together without the brick look or weight. Not only is it sleek and sexy but it works.

At $699, the new Blackberry Pearl 8100 is not cheap. However, if you don't mind the plan you can pick one up for free from Vodafone on a 24 month business plan (like I did). Or if long term plans give you the shakes, then try one of the many online shops or comparison sites such as Shopbot. At the time of this post, phoneshop.com.au had the 8100 on for $579.42 AU.
